A Myth: If I just stay busy.....I won't hurt as bad.

If I just stay busy, I won't hurt as bad is only a myth. The fact: you have to go through to get through and that is the only way to work through grief. Everyone knows that you put your mask on daily to survive in the outside world, but at times....you must take it off and CRY!

Tears are important and we have to get them out. . . But what I find even more interesting is why we have tears to begin with. Tears cleanse the soul and if we didn't release them after losing something/someone important then that could only mean one thing: The event didn't matter or affect our lives; did not touch our soul.

Tears are a good thing and prove that what you lost was important and had purpose.

Keep crying until you are ready for the next step.

One broken heart still mourns. My niece died at the age of three from an accidental pool drowing. My sister to this day and may never pull out to the pain she feels daily. It hurts. I hurt but I also did something about it.
